My Beach Report

I just got back from a couple of weeks there and was a work on stuff trip, daytime weather was warm and great only had one winter like day.

It was like going from Florida to the north pole when I got back in my shorts and seemed to have lost all my tomato plants to the freeze.

One of the neighbors there gave me some tomatoes from Virginia. He said his didn't do good at the beach and was the same story on Facebook.

The traffic was not too bad looked like a lot of owners were there working on projects, getting them ready I guess for this coming summer.

Just an FYI one of the "new" rental houses near me has video cameras "inside" turned on that might or might not be something you want to get.

Some shirtless rednecks rented it got drunk and took a baseball bat to cameras rental company noticed called police and they fought with police.

That's how I know, sometimes you get to see the show. Anyway also wanted to let you know most everything is open, restaurants, stores, mini golf.

I didn't get any fishing in but can confirm the little bridge on the Nags Head Causeway had a big weekend crowd and some on very first tiny pier.

A lot of private small boaters were on the road this past weekend. I can confirm TW's Tackle Shop is open and busy, their fishing report is there.

I got a new SaltLife sticker for the top back window, Nags Head store has the colored and Kitty Hawk has the white have you noticed while driving?

The nourished beach where I was just north of Avalon Pier had a high tide overwash channel with outlets that looked fishy at those oulets for idea.

Can confirm TL's in Manteo is still good and their hand cut fries. Henry's in KDH had them parking on the road for a Thursday fried chicken special.

If traveling in NC and come across a Smithfield's Chicken 'N Bar-B-Q it's really good sort of a cross between fast food with a restaurant style meal.

This is a favorite in western NC they are all over the place here, more crap but good crap. Also are building a big gas station in KDH, west side 158.

And last but not least everything was low at the beach in Food Lion and Walmart when I left no toilet paper in Food Lion maybe because of Thanksgiving.

I have not gone grocery shopping here yet. I'm probably going to try to get ham for Thanksgiving. I hope all of you have a good and safe one this year.
