Monday Report

Rodanthe surf. Mostly cloudy. WNW 8 -12. 0545 - 0800 hrs.

Flies so bad had to retreat for bug spray before 1st cast. Spray did little good. 3 at a time. Analysis = smaller flies not effected as much by bug spray. (Pretty sad...no bites and have to analyze flies:):)

Crabs heavy again early on.

But finally caught up nice kingfish and spot. Then gave in to flies.

2 different dogs on leashes allowed to pee on beach chairs this Capt put out. Nice. 2 loose dogs. 1lickin this Capt’s hand.

Surf camp showed up round 0900 hrs. About 20 w/ 4 photographers. They tried to get 2 fisherman to get out of their way. 1 did.

Yesterday just before dark spike fisherman got 2 small croaker.

Same time about 15 surfers showed. Was adult leader there. Thunderstorm passing by very close, just north. Lightning,thunder. Kids were not called in out of water. More nice.

Also yesterday afternoon 2 police called guy from beach to move his golf cart from end of street at foot of our driveway. (East Point dead ends at beach and is posted “No Parking” both sides.) Been parking there since Sat. No...this Capt did not call them. Can do own enforcement if needed.
