I wish virginia and west virginia still had the season like that. they stay open year round now. used to open 1st. Saturday in april at noon. it was like a big party. got to see your friends and party a little bit before noon. back then (late 60's and 70's), the game wardens didn't bother you much. they would check your liscense and fish, but unless you were dumb drunk or causing problems they didn't say much. we were very respectable about the property, not how people don't care now. as for the virus, your guess is as good as mine. be safe.
