Does smell like livestock sometimes here but that is like roses compared to some things at the beach and where the wind is blowing.

Like the summer trailer park dumpster, septic tanks and donut shop dough, exhaust from the bypass on a hot no wind day would gag you.

I've been sleeping on a blow up mattress on the floor and it has been like sleeping on a pool float, intended to be used for two days.

I finally got one an oldy but goody queen size Kingsdown had to wait for them to make and deliver it. I have not decided on the rest.

The new style and what they are selling are huge over sized head boards and I don't like them. I'm thinking about getting a sleigh bed.

I kind of liked them were in some of those mountain rental houses I stayed. New furniture will probably be a chest instead of a dresser.

It's been hot during the day and cool at night, leaves are starting turn a little bit here and the cows are getting furry ears and backs.

I got a new riding lawn mower one of those ones the business grass cutters use for inside the fence for now maybe a used tractor later.

The guy that owns the cows is going to take care of the rest of it for letting the cows use it and harvesting the back for winter feed.

I found out the former owner's tractor jumped out of gear while he was working on it and ran over his leg and this had became too much.

I went to the farmers' market in Ashville. I went to the back parking lot stands and bought bulk for the freezer, better deals in there.

Plenty of Cherokee Purple and Mr. Stripey heirloom tomatoes, big red tomatoes, green beans, yellow squash, cabbage, corn, apples, pumpkins.

I took a chance on a big cabbage sack of corn for the freezer was $18 with 63 ears in it turned out fresh and good multicolor white yellow.

And another chance on a watermelon and turned out great, I had the Mexican lady pick it out for me. She picked the best looking ground spot.

I saw 2 bad tractor trailer wrecks on the other side of I40 on the way, worst I've seen nothing was left but pieces and the twisted frames.

It's like riding down a roller coaster for a stretch leaving on I40, several truck run offs going into sand piles. They hit the middle wall.

They need a gully to go in and down it like a bowling ball with that much traffic was all cleaned up except for a set of wheels on way back.

Anyway tried a couple of local country restaurants here was piled on and cheap they had surprises on the menu, beef tips also liver and onions.

If interested the one I use myself .....

Beef Tips

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons of chopped garlic in the jar
dried parsley - a good shot
dried oregano leaves - a good shot
black pepper - a good shot

3 1/2 to 4 lb. sirloin roast - cut up into small pieces
2 big regular onions sliced
2 big green peppers sliced
16 ozs. mushrooms - canned or fresh

1) Marinate beef in the first 8 ingredients for at least 6 hours.

2) Cut vegetables into big pieces and add to marinade mixture 1 hour before frying in pan, cook until meat is done. Serve on top of rice.
