last week in outer banks

Just got back from a week in Rodanthe and points south and did I have a great time.
The house we stay in is so ocean front I can fish from the deck regardless of the tide. Caught blowtoads, flounder, and mullet.
I'm sorry to report the Day use area only contained hungry crabs, but took a side road south of ramp 27 and caught drum.
On Monday went out with Captain Doug Martin out of Teach's Lair and in 40 minutes we had landed 6 Red Drum, kept our 3 right at 27 and then went and tore up the flounder. Unfortunatly our time spent Cobia fishing went un rewarded.
On Wedensday went out with Captain Rick Scarborough, also from Teach's Lair stricktly for Cobia, no luck with that, but I landed a 47 1\2 inch Red Drum. What a wonderfull experience. It was a beautifull fish. Had a ball!
My thanks to Doug and Rick, two great fishermen, and what a view out the office window.
