Yes that's a good area could be some great puppy drum fishing there during that time and looks like that place has a lot of good reviews.

A regular bottom rig with thick 4/0 Gamakatsu hooks and snell with heavy around 100# mono use "fresh" cut bait or shrimp is the best way.
