i have largemouth bass, crappie, sun fish and some channel cats in my ponds. seems to be balanced pretty good. the bass and cats keep the smaller fish in check. there is a huge lake a couple of miles from my house. it has enough shore line for freshwater stripers to spawn. they have caught some nice ones in there. it is private and gated. you have to know someone to get in. when you going to move?
