Winter Continues

North Coast predicts snow tomorrow. Hopefully the last gasp.

Trip to visit daughter in VA before Easter pretty much uneventful. Only lost 1 time on way there.))

Tried the Grand Harbor casino. 1 hour trip took 2 hrs. 20 minutes on I-95. Had so-so boil at restaurant in Fredericksburg.

#1 Laugh (or PITA) of the day. Answering machine message on return = possible attempted fraud on credit card. 2 calls to credit card Co. w/i 15 minutes gave conflicting info w/o satisfactory explanation. Credit card Co. says attempts thru PayPal. PayPal says not the case... but provided International phone # of Co. attempting. (Explains why card wouldn't work at gas stations...was blocked.) Bottom line = 5 attempts for 13 cents from Co. in China caused the block. Simplest solution = cancelled cards. New arrived in 36 hours...UPS. Not in mood to call China (Mandarin rusty) to dispute attempted 13 cent charges...

#2 Laugh of the day. TV reporter on shore of lake Erie at 0600 hrs today promoting annual "Lakeshore Cleanup day". Temp 44, winds N 25-32. Hair flyin all over the place. Tryin her best to keep eyes open and gasping to talk, says..."It's not too bad out here this morning"!! (Note)...false weather reporting the norm on the North Coast for any sponsored event). C of C, like that on Outer Banks, not to be trusted re: weather or crime.

Last...advertising of HI as alternative to northern beaches heating up. Expected, but first time seen in print. Another nail = low cost housing approved...purportedly for housing for summer workers. Soon...another Paradise Lost.
