One of this Capt's greatest fears is and has always been traffic.

Bypass nightmare esp. durin summer. Beach road only way to go. Watch speed limit and visitors crossing anywhere incl. btw. parked cars. Slow down. Stop and visit some of the small stores there....they need the business. And...as most parking is pull in/back out...be careful w/ backing out into the road.

Finally talked kids out of very occasionally bringin bikes.

But they still do part of their morning runs on 12. While most of northern HI now has dedicated sidewalks, bridges...still a worry as visitors not always payin attention to drivin as they should.

As King said... lets all "be safe."

Hard to believe summer round the corner. Out window is 6 ft. snow pile from the weekend.

Fishin Flea Market tomorrow w/ son and x Air Force guy used to work w/ back in the day.

Was told this week by fella that it was Vietnam Vets Day. Never saw it advertised. News too busy w/ politicos feathering their nests.

And ... young lady at ACE hardware told me today she's leavin soon for Marine Corps basic - Paris Island. Made sure to thank her in advance for her desire to serve.
