Well after enduring 5 solid days of rain and wind 3/19 thru 3/23.. we were able to get out on the Ocean again.Water was like summertime 64 to 69 degrees pretty much everywhere we went.
Us and 4 other boats searched all day commercial fishing for the Atlantic Sharpnose /Spinners and Blacktip Sharks and last I heard no one had caught enough to pay the fuel bill.Water has warmed up so much that the particular Sharks that we are targeting are scattered .Looks like another 3 day blow coming on 3/27 so maybe the water will cool back down.
In other fishing news down here in Hatteras/Buxton/Frisco…..being the water has been so warm…surf fishing has been taking off with medium sized Bluefish,Blowtoads,Sea Mullets and Big Red Drum.
Before this last 5 day blow we stopped briefly one day and caught 3/4 of a fish basket full of Triggerfish and Seabass Yesterday we stopped briefly and tried dropping a butterfly jig down on a wreck and caught an Amberjack just checking out what was there .
We are booking trips now and I will update the site later this morning with the trips.CHECK OUT the “TRIPS & AVAILABILITY” section of our website for types, times and rates. You can go online and book your trips at any given time.Looking forward to the Summer …hope we have some great weater.Calm Seas & Fair Winds To All
