Storms/Snow and Incompetence

Winter returned (Yuk) to North Coast after 55 and heavy storms yesterday. 2" snow on ground so far today w/ 30 - 40 winds.

Figured bad weather = good day to take van in for service. Wrong...

Arrived at 7:00 AM at dealer - 1st in line - tryin to get tire rotation, new thermostat (opening too soon 1/2 time, thus no heat, and to fix auto high beams working in reverse. Initially service wrote up headlight problem wrong as "flash to pass" not working, then tried to charge $20 for free tire rotation, and would not replace thermostat as "could not replicate owners complaint." (Even worse donuts did not arrive till mid morning.) Salesman tried to intervene and get service to replace stat but to no avail. Dug their heels in. In end had to call in the big gun... General Mgr. a high school alum + ex-neighbor. Magic. Immediately replaced stat. On way out salesman said "if it were anyone but you it would "not" have been done.

Nice to hear but shouldn't take that for proper write up, billing and service work under warranty. Tho is way of the world now...this Capt won't take it...

BTW...Donut was chocolate glazed.
