There is a free monthly newspaper-like publication available, check out bayjournal.com. Mostly deals with environmental issues of the bay. Lots of good info. I've been getting it for about a year. Seems like there was some progress being made on the Bay clean-up. Then something like this happens. It will be interesting to see how widespread the effect of the sewage dump will be. Regardless of how high the rivers are, the answer to pollution is NOT dilution.

Speaking of rain, first summer here that the lawn stayed green. Great for the cucumbers (27 qts of dills canned) but not so much for the tomatoes.
