In case you didn't know Rodanthe house was moved from Mirlo to 1st street north of East Point. Were there during the move. Was to save it from constant underwash. Mrs. Capt so worried it'd be lost, got one of a few paintings of original house by local artist.

Original house exterior was changed a lot for filming, and remains that way today. And ... most inside scenes were not filmed in that house.

Met original owner on beach one early mornin, sittin w/ glass of wine, cryin about sale of the place. Sale included free week for original owners once a year for several years.
