Rodanthe. East Point. 0520-1040 hrs. Clear water. E 10-15. No flies, no bites. Rain movin in from E early on dissipated as it neared the beach. Later clouds formed again but went N. Fisherman throwin metal + 2 others fishin bottom also nothing.
Again no park service around to tag all the canopy structures left out overnite.
Surf camp arrived 8:15 AM. Left this Capt 50 ft. Wide section of water to fish. As reward returned washed up baseball cap to one of the girls who lost it while surfing.
Wasn't long after frisbee zippin w/i several feet of our heads.
Saw one visitor watch her floundering little boy. Nearly had to go out and help em in as she just stood and watched him. Not like she was afraid of water as has been in all week. Little boy was only about 12 ft.out and wild eyed in distress. Some mom...
Turtle nest found about 4 miles N of Mirlo yesterday.
And...also yesterday...late afternoon...possible remains of victim of Salvo Hole Monster washed up. Rescue truck saw and quickly buried it.
Renters across street, ones blocking 1/2 our drive all week, had more arrive at 0500 hrs. today. Immediatedly got stuck in sand, blocking rest of our driveway. Got it about 1000hrs. Crew needed food and w/ drive blocked had to walk to Liberty convenience.
