Not much going on right now for the surf you could probably catch a few sharks at Prospect Ave. beach access during high tide at the monument.
Jennette's is open same there but maybe a striper hanging behind the bar in the pilings could be croakers near the end next breezy south wind.
The water temperature is still in the mid 40s, you need it in the 50s for a few days and the fish could show up might be warmer at Hatteras.
TW's Nags Head store was stocked up on all different kinds of frozen bait in the back. Frozen squid would work, Food Lion has $9# fresh shrimp.
If the tackle shops do get any fresh menhaden it would be on the weekends. Further south like from Buxton and below is better for early spring.
