Pizza Recipe

Here's my secret recipe that will make a nice size pan pizza. It's old I believe it was a good version of a school pizza from the 1960s.

Pizza

1 box hot roll mix
1 lb. sausage "Jimmy Dean regular roll"
2 cloves garlic minced
1 Tbsp. basil
1 1/2 Tbsp. "crushed" oregano
1 12 oz. tomato paste
2 large cans mushrooms "drained"
1 large can black olives sliced
1 green pepper sliced
1 onion sliced
2 large packages shredded mozzarella
2/3 cup grated Romano cheese in shaker

Prepare dough from roll mix following label directions but omit rising, divide in half and roll into two 13 inch circles. Place on a cookie sheet greased with olive oil, spread out and turn up edge. Break up sausage in skillet along with sliced onions, peppers and drained cans of mushrooms and black olives, slowly cook until sausage is evenly brown. Mix garlic and seasonings in tomato paste and spread over dough to edge. Cover with sausage mixture using a straining spoon. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes then remove from oven and cover with mozzarella cheese and bake 10 minutes more or until crust is done. Sprinkle with Romano cheese.
