Yes, get your fishing gear rigged for Red Drum and fish Orgeon Inlet and south of this for the drum. Also trout have been bitting early morning in breaks of surf and sound areas. During the day they have had large spot and croakers caught in different locations. Since you are going to be in Nags Head, head to the little Manteo bridge before sun up to catch some trout and you may even catch a striper or two. Pay attention to what you can keep and the size and limitations according to the NC Wildlife and also don't forget that you have to have a fishing license now for all areas of the beach area, except for some of the piers for they usually have a grand total coverage license.
