On another subject but close to the samething. I was in the market for a new to me 2014 F150 FX4. I had found 2 that were reasonable and was almost ready to purchase one of them when I contacted my mechanic for a what if scenario when it came to the 7 year/100K warranty. One truck was from Maine the other from Michigan. My mechanic was like stay away. The chemicals that are put on their roads in winter time is nothing compared to VA. The chemicals are eating up brake and fuel lines, brakes, rotors, even the engine mount bolts etc. These items are not covered under the warranty and could be very costly. So for those that want to continue to drive in the overwash, the undercarriage of your vehicle is taking a beating. Just saying.
