Fall Fishing

I'm looking to head back down for my Fall Fishing trip and plan on moving around a bit this year instead of staying right in front of wherever I end up getting a house. I'd like to target Red Drum of course, so looking for some suggestions of places to try. Would being closer or actually at the Oregon Inlet increase my chances? As well as going South to the point or Hatteras Inlet? I'll be staying somewhere in Rodanthe/Salvo/Waves area, so I'll be about right between those 2 area's.
