On the beach side, you can drive down as far as where you turn to go to Spur Road. We caught a nice 25 inch puppy drum with fresh finger mullet in the surf, about 20 yards from the no access line there. I also had some monster on my line for a few seconds using bunker, but it unfortunately it got off.

We fished the last hour of daylight on the sound side off of Spur Road. There is only about 100 yards of access on that side. My 8 year old son caught a 3 foot shark, which made his day since it was the longest of all fish we caught.

While the fishing was slow, it was a beautiful day, not too windy, and we did catch a few fish, which beats any day in the office!
