Actually we only shocked up 24 near the boat ramp in Weldon this week. The majority of the Shad have spawned and are now making their decent back down the river. We think that this rock fish season can be compared to 2002 and it is very possible that the closing date of May 1 may be extended. The water level is back down now after a few weeks of being very high due to release of water from the lakes as well as generation. I am sure the fight will be on this year just as it always is and rather it is in season or not they are always a blast to catch on any type of tackle. Gone to keep a tight line. Debbie
