From Cape Point north where the beach runs north & south on a S/W wind you have what you call "Up dwelling".....wind is blowing from land to sea...pushs top layer of water offshore while bringing cold bottom water to the top.....we don't have that problem in Hatteras fore the beach runs east to west it blows S/W every freaking day and is rough ....but we's gots hot water....everyday
