Waves Report 6/18.

Date: Sunday, 6-18-17, at 6:55 p.m.
Early rains made for big breakfast.
Surf at high tide round 1200 hrs., a wash machine. SW 20 - 25. Strong drag north. Not to be detered, this weeks new visitors fishin, oblivious of their lines quickly runnin up and into waters edge in front of others. Dirty lookin others as their lines drag north tanglin others. Clueless.
Blowin sand by 1300 hrs., but again never underestimate the visitors, who leave beach and line in water, and return w/ umbrellas, tents...a hoot watchin their amazement that neither could be set up in the wind.
And yes, finally another visitor who obviously never touched rod before pulls in line and spikes rod. Gulls then lovin pullin bait off hooks. Loose dog on beach.Watch more insanity as late 20ish guy and teenager go out into churning surf. W/i minutes pulled out about 150 ft., beat by waves, barely made it back w/ younger one in some distress.
Headed back to house as another group set up 20 ft away tossin sand downwind like hail. Was the last straw.
Only positive to take away = 25% on beach today will disappear for rest of the week from sunburn.
Rib feast tonight.
Daughter talkin w/ guy (not = to hetro) at Avon Food Lion just "crushed" by state of Corolla traffic and over crowding. What a surprise!!
Happy Fathers Day!!
