I have fished the sound in that same boat for the last 10 years. I just moved up into a 23 footer. Stay inside the inlet and use the land as your friend to stay out of the wind. Lots of "fishy" places around Roanoke Island. That bow will pretty much run in 2 feet of water so you will be fine most everywhere. Be careful around the inlet, strong tides and water goes from 6 feet to 6 inches real quick. Good Luck
