3:50 am observations at Hatteras Weather Buoy.......winds w/sw at 23 knots gusting to 27 knots....6 foot seas every 6 seconds......This is what I saw first thing this morning......almost blew grits.
Went too the marina and got up with my guys and gave them the bad news we were not going.....big bummer for all of us.
We gave it a while and finally just said"To Hell with it" and off we went...what a thrashing in the morning...later in the evening it laid out some.....75.6 degree water 15 miles off the beach...WOW
True combat fishing....the "Endangered Sharks" beat us out at the first spot and we had to leave.....but we finally got on some fish....loads of undersized Triggerfish & Seabass......but we managed to pick out a catch of keepers.
