Pond at Oregon Inlet

Entering the beach at Ramp 4, you cannot go all the way around to the bridge. Part of the beach is closed due to the bird nesting. I know, don't get me started. Anyway, there have been reports that Puppy Drum are in the pond just North of the inlet.DO NOT attempt to get there on foot. Big fine if you do. It was also reported that the Coast Guard was prohibiting boats from accessing this area also and writing tickets. However, this is apparently false information. The Coast Guard has said that they are just doing safety inspections on the boats in that area.
