That's not a bad deal but I don't like chest freezers it's hard to find stuff in it seems to get lost in the bottom.

I've gone through three, an old free chest "gave away", an upright not frost free "compressor" and the last was a frost free upright "joint leak".

The freezer that wasn't had to be unplugged and defrosted about once a year to get rid of the ice build up on the shelves.

I can see that being better for a bakery or keeping ice and not wanting anything to go through defrost cycles.

If they built them better they would last, my grandparents had a small upright not frost free from I think the 1960s that's still working.

They past it on not to me. Now in sombody elses garage it's got some dents in it and the white paint is coming off the metal still running fine.

Anyway tried something new with the turkey this year from the food network to make the top moist seemed to be better.

Started the turkey upside down and then flipped back over halfway through after two hours did noon to 4pm.

Used two big disposable aluminum pans doubled together covered it with aluminum foil, easy clean up just toss in the outside trash can.

I dumped the carcass and drippings in the yard, it was all gone this morning and left hole whatever it was looked like came from a cactus patch.
