your g3 would do fine at juniper bay. it is very close to mattamuskeet. the speckled trout fishing is very good there at this time of year. you should try it there. it is my favorite place to fish. the trout are up in the shallow creeks at this time of year. easy to find. the only two grubs you need is a finesse alewife, and a green twister tail. 3 or 4 inch on a 1/4 ounce jig head. there is not much need in trying anything else. i know because i have only been fishing there 2 or 3 hundred times.
