Speaking of bites a lady that owns store that I frequent got bit on her hand by a cat.When I saw her hand I assumed that she was stocking and a box of stuff fell on it and broke it.When she told me it was a cat bite ( red and swollen )I told her to get it taken care of sooner than later as in now,and I mean now.I went buy to check on her today and she did as advised. The infection had went up her arm to her elbow almost to her shoulder.Atibiontics are making her felling like heck but the infection has receded back to her hand.I had a girl friend a few years ago that had the same thing happen to her.Cat feces are super nasty and of course they groom the source from which it came.
