Rock Fish Spawn

The Rock Fish have arrived finally here in Weldon, NC. As expected the males are in abundance, sample pulled 92 males to 5 females, which is normal for this date. Water Temp is around 53, the water is stained but clearing. Normal spawning or fighting as locals call it takes place between 62 & 65 Degrees, so larger females should be arriving soon. Weldon's annual Rock fish tournament will be held today (Saturday) so this place will be crazy. As soon as the spawn is over then it's back to some white perch, crappy and beach fishing for this gal.
