There is a lot of merit to what you say. I am a public high school teacher and kids today wear a badge of entitlement everywhere they go. They have no idea on the concept of earning privileges and expect things to be handed to them for free just because they were born.

In fairness, there are some individuals who work for and earn what they get. Unfortunately, it is such a rare occurrence, these kids stand out in the crowd.
