On a lighter note than current calamities...
Fall colors here on the North Coast should peak this week.
Drought conditions since mid July remain. Many trees no color at all, leaves just dryin up.
Took down veggies except purple pepper still goin strong w/ 18 blossoms and 8 peppers still growin.
Voles suckin up the "pellets" now, and may be rid of most by end of the month.
Mrs. Capt wantin to go to Amish country this week.
Lotsa deer but other animals remarkably absent, birds too. Hopin its not an "oh, oh" sign of things to came.
Dumb migrating geese still tryin to figure out south.
Doin clambake for neighbors today. Not too big...power washed just 200 clams, w/ the chicken, corn, rolls, broth + ladies bringin salads and desserts. One more for family in 2 weeks.
Sons workin on annual Halloween extravaganza, w/ vampires the theme.
Haven't fished since LA. Finally got pics of couple of choupics caught onto PC, but been unable to post.
