Had the same problem last year on the way home on US 460.
One of the pistons on the left caliper locked up. Winds were blowing right thru the steps on the left wheel.
After we got it unlocked, What a burning smell. We finally got home.
Cost to replace 2 rotors, 1 caliper & set of brakes was about $225.
This year at the house, even with all the wind two weeks ago, the new sand bars kept the wind from the truck.
