Hatteras Inlet fishing help needed

My wife and I are headed to Hatteras Village 2/14-2/17. Any insight into what might be biting at the surf or at the inlet would be great. I plan to pick up some striper lures, maybe a bottom rig as well. Any info as to gear and location greatly appreciated. Jim
