sound fishing

hey all
coming down for annual trip next Saturday. Staying at Waves. Thinking of wading in sound to fish. Any tips for lures, bait, best times, etc. Also any reports of sharks in sound? I read your posts every day. Live in Western North Carolina and always dream bout fishing the Banks. Thanks for any advice. Clark
