Capt D, thanks for all the reports, I've been reading, but not posting. Always enjoy your reports

Most garlic is a winter crop - plant in the fall, it'll get flat, onion like leaves all winter, then flower, bulb and die off by early summer the following year. Probably needs to be in the ground rather than containers to keep it from freezing, but depends on local climate.
