My wife watched the report this morning and said her and all my kids would have been bitten multiple times if this was the case. They've been swimming near and around my multiple fishing lines from the beach for 10+ years. When was that Tiger Shark caught? From the hair cut, it looks to be in the late 70's or 80's. My parents brought me to the OBX for the first time the summer that JAWS was released, so there's always been that thought in the back of the mind! But I still like the Idea of it being Capt D's Fault! :) Maybe it's a conspiracy theory between him, the turtles, dolphins, big foot and the mermaid they spotted this week to keep the "Visitors" out of the water so they wouldn't bother him while fishing in the surf? He could be trying to "Bait" the X-Files into adding one more episode to include the Shark Mystery at the OBX.
