Waves Friday Report

Storms 0330 hrs. - 0930 hrs. Plenty of electric, little wind.

Surf 1030 hrs. - 1200 hrs. WSW 10 - 20, turning W, flattening water. Plenty of croaker, mullet trailing off by 1200 hrs.

1400 hrs. Next heavy rain, little electric, no wind.

Fisherman reported sea turtle catch this week. Said 30" across.

NPS as of now, not taggin or confiscating chairs, canopies, etc left overnite. Say HQ ordered them to stop after last year. Used to tag 1 day, remove the next. Result is piles of broken canopies, chairs etc., piled up along dune and abandoned. Perfect. While some damaged by storms, may be vandalism too. NPS says Nags Head now enforcing nothing out overnite. No idea who is enforcing. Vandalism on canopies left overnite became problem on Whalehead beach by early 2000's.

Next report Rodanthe surf.
