John Feinstein is a big lib on the political side of the spectrum but his knowledge of sports and his memory of obscure details of events are scary.Kind of like the ghosts that apparently are rampant which is another subject.'' Season on a Brink'' is a good read and is brutally honest , something that Knight never forgave Feinstein. I have always admired coach Knight's coaching and his love for his players. Throwing a chair across the court was stupid but that is passion.Screaming G*# D%&@! at the top of your lungs during a time out with kids setting right behind the bench tarnishes him in my mind to the point of , well a lot less respect.Keven O'neal did the same thing at Tennessee and people would leave before halftime even if it was good competitive game.I played all sports from the third grade until I ran out of gas.The worst thing that I ever heard a coach say was during a football practice when a line coach called out a player ''That stance looks like a farmer taken a crap on a farmer's can''. I am not going to set here and pretend I don't get frustrated and let a cuss word fly out from time to time but the coaches that never cussed, their the ones that I respect to this day.Taking the Lord's name in vain is something that does not work for me.Well that would be my 2cents worth of ranting.Oh by the way there was a guy that did a little coaching somewhere in Carolina that did not cuss or belittle his players and never had a terse word for anyone. Worked out OK I think.Again , just a thought.Rodney.
