Just as you are wondering so are all of us. We have been hoping and praying for the past few years to get a good striper blitz. I would really love to see one like years ago. I really thing that commerical fish, combined with warmer water temps in the water at the Outer Banks is the main reason. I know that I have one heck of a blast when the stripers come to "fight" up on the Roanoke River in Weldon. This is not far from one of my homes. It's a real blast to see and exciting to fish. As the old man winter not helping make the water cold for a good Ocean striper blitz, we deal with a differant issue up here on the Roanoke, we are at the mercy of Domion Power on a generating schedule to help keep the water level high in order to help bring the stripers up stream. Plus you have to hit it on the right days to see the fight. Well enough for now. Take care and keep us up dated on the bird activity and any striper action please.
