Firearms, horses, whole ball of wax. Trinity mountains. While this Capt Adjutant @ Oakland Army Base.

NCO, whose daughter our baby sitter, suggested it. Avid hunter, who had recently found spoor he said was of the "legend".

Planned for months. Scheduled leave. Ready to go. Two days before we were to leave, NCO got "hot" orders to a listening post in Iran. He shipped out the next day, and w/ him the trip.

Few years ago, wanted to visit w/ old girlfriend who lived next door to us when we owned the cottage (where we found the track). She was 2 years older, a head majorette...a blond bombshell. Back then, we arrived at the cottage on Sundays of each week and after unpacking, regularly wrestled under the pines. No joke.

After a long search found she had married and moved to Mt. Shasta CA. Figured side hunting trip, w/ cameras this time, after renewing our "relationship", would be just the thing.

But, that trip too was not to be. Sadly, she had already passed away a few months before. Had put off lookin her up for years, something more important always came up. Lesson there.

She wasn't the only cottage heart throb to pass. Lost another (a buxom brunette) I dated most every day while we had the cottage. Passed in FL. Her parents ran the refreshment stand at the lake. Did odd jobs for them off and on. Remember well the walk from her place to ours (had no wheels those days) in the pitch dark after midnite armed only w/ a flashlight.

Apologize for goin on about the gals, but they and "bigfoot" are intertwined in memory.
