The wind has laid down still raining off and on, probably going to be more oceanfront damage from this than hurricane Arthur. I walked over to the beach road early this morning and the dunes are alright from what I could see on the south end of Kitty Hawk, I don't know how it is further north. Looked like overwash had come under the oceanfront houses further south and one where I was at had lost a lot of their downstairs garage. The road didn't look bad, I saw pieces of wood and sand fence from the ocean overwash that might have some nails in it.
