KDH Surf

No luck with the trout this morning, too rough for Mirrolures and grubs. Some big swells were coming in, water was murky, the bird and dolphin activity looked good further out at first light. Also looked like good shell hunting.

I did see people grouped up on the north side of Avalon Pier close to the pier and at Hayman Blvd. around sunrise but couldn't see them enough to tell if they were catching anything.

Be careful driving on the beach in that area, I'd stay up high in the rutty part. I was sinking down 6 inches just walking in some of the wet spots near the water and watch out for lumber with nails in it on the beach like sand fence, posts and boards.
