The Deer Hunting Lull has hit in Pennsylvania so the good people at Surf or Sound Realty found a split week rental for me. I booked yesterday at 10am and made it down here by 4pm today (10/16) Surf was rough when I showed up and it took me a bit to figure out what was going to work. By 5:30pm I found that Squid would get you all the Ray's that you want (Watch out they can bite and I got bit!) I usually learn things the hard way "Ask the Captain!" I also caught a 11 6/8" Gray trout on Squid (Threw Back like a good fisherman does} and a 13 1/2" Mullet. Caught all the Black Drum, Spot, Permit I wanted on Real and Fake Blood worms. No Blue's or Red Drum yet, but I've only been here 3 hours. Doesn't matter what I catch, better than being in the office! Will be here through Monday, will try to give daily updates. Caught a few nice size Black Drum. Big Enough to get some Filets off of. Never ate them before, are they any good?
