Years ago my son purchased a small Burmese python, it was about the thickness of a good size cigar, around 12 inches long.
It eventually lived in a cage that took up 1/2 of his bedroom, grew to 12 foot long and I couldn't put my hands around it so my fingers would touch.
At one feeding it ate 2 chickens and 2 rabbits...(force fed)
Thats when the snakes jaws are unlocked a dead food source may be guided into the mouth and it goes down.
After much money and hard work the snake went back to where it came from.
