There was a nor'easter for a few days, the ocean is starting to lay down but is muddy. The waves went up to the dunes and made a flat beach so you might need waders if your trout fishing in the surf with lures.

Some big speckled trout have been caught. I haven't seen the big ones all along the beach rolling on the surface after baitfish so far this fall. I'm guessing most haven't moved out of the sound yet.

Stripers were being caught from the catwalk at night.

The sharks and skates will probably be bad when the water is muddy.
