After burying my father on Thursday I came to the Outer Banks for four days of r&r. It was my wife's idea, and a fine one. I have never felt so welcome, and had a better time. The people at Sam and Omie's, starting with Buddy, and including all the girls made me feel very good as they always do, but this time it was special. And my friend Doug in Hatteras took me out fishing and we had a ball. I want to thank everyone, who did nothing out of the ordinary for them, it's what they do, but this time it was truly special, and I really do apreciate it. The Outer Banks is truly a special place.
