The Aftermath

Thanks everybody for the best wishes. The inside of that cat 2 hurricane was interesting, about an hour was really bad when the eye was moving across the sound from Stumpy Point towards Nags Head. A constant strong wind with a howling whistle that didn't stop, let up when the center of the rotation started moving back out over the ocean. It's still raining with a very gusty breeze, I didn't like walking around in the open for very long. The power and cable never went out or so far, I got to watch it on radar. I had some awning damage but I didn't see anything noticable in this area or flooding from the ocean and that's on the south end of Kitty Hawk. I'm sure the damage will be different for other areas. Highway 12 on Pea Island looks like a flooded mess from the traffic cams.
