I don't think bait is the main problem with others, their hook sizes are usually to big for a lot of the smaller size summer fish and they aren't checking the bait often enough to see if the crabs got it or changing the bait putting fresh pieces on after awhile, the bait should be changed to new every 30 minutes.

I noticed Hurricane Mo's new outside deck was completely full of people standing packed together on the top deck with more under it and the Black Pelican's parking lot was full this was around 4pm in Kitty Hawk. I gave up on it awhile back, my understanding is that it got to be a popular place to go with the Corolla crowd.

I like Mako Mikes in Kill Devil Hills during the summer. Sometimes restaurants are overlooked by the visitors, the meal might be so so but you don't have to wait in line.
