Sunday Waves Report

Date: Sunday, 6-22-14, at 2:30 p.m.
Surf. 0600 hrs. 10 - 15 NE. Slow. Waves always slow w/ NE wind.
Sound 0745 hrs. 10 - 15 NE. New scouted location very productive. Rain threatening. Pins, pigs, puppy drum, keeper drum. Bait of choice = mumichog.
0945 rain arrived, after increasing clouds and thunder. Surprisingly many "visitor" families ignored the sky and were rewarded w/ walk back from beach in gully washer. Sad part...some had babies. No excuse for that.
Mentioned in prior report shrimp price high. Not problem as surf and sound fish not much interested. Same w/ fish bites. Squid most reliable.
Surf temps Thurs - Sat. Round 80. Water clear each morning. Rough surf evenings brought up 30" concrete slabs to high tide line last 2 nites.
Last evening storms mostly Salvo and south, 2100 - 2300 hrs. Heavy cloud to ground lightning. More rain movin in off mainland now.
Visitors parking on lawns again early today. Said Realty told them owners don't care (if lawns torn up). Sad but Realtys causing the problem...it's all bout the rental bucks....
Some cottages have 6 parked vehicles. Cottages occupancy limits being greatly exceeded + Realty told son last week..."not something to worry about". Sure owners would like to hear that... Again all about the rental $$$.
